
Cedar point is amusement park located on Erie peninsula and it is the second oldest operating amusement park of United States of America (USA). Opened in 1870, the park is owned and operated by Cedar fair entertainment and is the flagship park of the company. The park has record high 72 rides including America’s roller coast, including 17 roller coaster rides. The newest roller coaster ride of the park opened in 2013 known as Gatekeeper.
The park is spread over 365 acre land.
Cedar park normal operating season is until Labor Day. After that the park is only open for weekends until Halloween. It also has a one mile long white sand beach, a water park called Soak City and indoor water parks including Castaway Bay.

The park is famous for few reasons including four roller coaster rides are more than 200 feet and it is the only park with roller coasters in all four classifications. The park has been the best amusement park for 16 consecutive years, an award that was given to it by Amusement today. It receives a record number of visitors every year from around and the world and especially from United States. The park has several buildings that are listed on National register of historic places.

Challenge Park is another park in Cedar point that was opened in 1992. The park is part of the cedar point amusement park but requires additional charge for entry. All rides in the Cedar point require an extra fee. Just like Challenge park Soak Park also requires additional entry pass and guest need to get their hands stamped to reenter cedar point. The park recently introduced fast lanes for quick entry to roller coaster rides.
