Valley of the queens or the wadi-ul-malikaat is a wide valley located in the ancient country Egypt. It had been called the valley of the beauty in early times of the country.
Basically it is an old grave yard where the queens of the country are sleeping in their last homes. They were the wives of the kings of the country called Pharos or firawoon who ruled the Egypt from 18th century and onwards.

There is a question about its establishment that why it came into being in such a special place but many historians believe that it is there due to the presence of an holy and scared cave at its entrance.
The cave is dedicated to the Goddess of the Egyptians Hathor who is associated with the animals, joy, happiness and death. There once came a flood from a rock which changed the atmosphere of the valley and this happing had been attached with the Goddess Hathor by the Egyptians.

Another reason is that the place is present near the Valley of the Kings and the village of the workers who were appointed to dig the graves.
The valley of the queens has various parts such as valley of prince ahmose, valley of the rope, valley of the dolmen and the valley of the three pits.
There are 91 tombs in the main valley called wadi and 19 tombs are in the other sections of the valley. The tombs are of queens along with some princes of the kingdom. Some of the residents of the tombs in the valley are possibly the sisters of the kings but there are different sayings about few tombs.

The tombs had been attacked by the thieves many times and hence there is a less availability of the ancient artifacts.
