This article describes the wonders of the world which is ancient heritage of our beautiful world. It is about the structure, natural and constructed fact of earth. The Seven Wonders of the Ancient World is the first known as the list of most remarkable creations of classical antiquity. The lists of Wonders of the World is based on natural wonders and man made structures.

1 – Great Pyramid of Giza

The Great Pyramid of Giza, Better known as the Pyramid of Khufu or the Pyramid of Cheops, is the oldest and largest with three pyramids in the Giza. It was constructed in 2580 to 2560 BC with height 146.5 meters and base is 230.4 meters. It was built as a tomb over a 10 to 20 year period consists of about 2.3 million blocks and the tallest man made structure in the world for over 3,800 years. Originally, it was covered by casing stones that have a smooth outer surface. There are many varying scientific and alternative theories about the Great Pyramid’s construction strategies. The most acceptable construction ideas are based on that it was built by moving huge stones from a quarry and dragging and lifting them into place. There are three chambers inside the Great Pyramid. The lower chamber is cut into the bedrock upon which the pyramid was built. The Queen’s Chamber and King’s Chamber are higher up within the pyramid structure. The Great Pyramid is only of them in Egypt which have both ascending and descending passages. The entrance of Great Pyramid is 17 meters above ground level. The Grand Gallery starts to the slope of the Ascending Passage which is roofed by stone’s slabs, laid at the slightly steeper angle of the floor of gallery.

2 – Taj Mahal

Taj Mahal (derived from Persian and Arabic word meaning “crown of palaces”) is a white marble mausoleum built in 1632 by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan, for the tomb of his 3rd wife, Mumtaz Mahal which is located in Agra, sate of India Uttar Pradesh, along the southern bank of the Yamuna River. Its construction starts from 1632, completed in about 22 years, in 1653. It is commonly known as “the jewel of Muslim art in India” is the best example of the Mughal architecture which is architected by Ustad Ahmad Lahauri. It iss the great place to visit for Muslims. Taj Mahal has a large, multi-chambered cube structured which is about 55 metros on each of the four long sides. The marble dome height 35 meters which has complex in shape and structure which provides the amazing and beautiful look for visitors. It attracts about 3 million people per year for visit.

3 – Great Wall of China

The Great Wall of China is a series of fortifications made of bricks with stone, tamped earth, and other materials. Historically, it had many names in both Chinese and English like Long Wall, Ten Thousand Mile Long Wall and 21,196 km in size. In the 19th century, The Great Wall of China had standard in English, German and French or other European languages continued to refer as “the Chinese wall. There were many walls built as early in the 7th century, joined together and made bigger and stronger the Great Wall. It was is built in 220 to 206 bc by the First Emperor of China (Qin Shihuang). It is located in Shanhaiguan in the east, with the southern edge of Inner Mongolia.

4 – Colosseum

Colosseum, better known as the Flavian Amphitheatre, is an elliptical amphitheatre located in the mid of city Rome, Italy. Colosseum is built with concrete and stone and it was the amazing and greatest works of architecture and engineering. It was builted by Vespasian, Titus in 70–80 AD and the largest amphitheatre in the world. It have about 50,000-80,000 spectators which is used for public spectacles and gladiatorial contests such as re-enactments of famous battles and mock sea battles. It was the major tourist attraction in Rome with thousands of tourists each year paying to view the interior arena. The Colosseum could have accommodate 87,000 people arrangement for sitting.

5 – Petra

Petra is a historical, archaeological one of the 7 Wonders city located in the southern Jordanian, Ma’an Governorate. It was built in 312 BC, capital city of the Nabataeans and famous for its rock cut architecture and water conduit system. Petra lies on the slope of Jebel al-Madhbah and base in the mountain. There were many festivals which was held in Petra Region like anniversary of Petra city. Therefore, about 580,000 per year visitors reach this beautiful place. Petra is symbol of Jordan, and the Jordan’s most visited tourist attraction.

6 – Chichen Itza

Chichen Itza was a large Maya civilization based pre-Columbian city built in 600 AD by people of the Terminal Classic. It was the main focal point in the Northern Maya Lowlands, located in the municipality of Tinum, Mexico State of Yucatán. Chichen Itza is one of the most visited archaeological sites in Mexico, about 1.2 million tourists reach this to amazing and beautiful view every year. It was a major economic power of northern Maya lowlands.

7 – Hanging Gardens of Babylon

The Hanging Gardens of Babylon is amazing and oldest, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. It was built in ancient city of Babylon, Babil province, in Iraq. There is no extant evidence about Hanging Gardens of Babylon found in Babylon. Some hypothesis shows it is about 290 BC and some 605 and 562 BC but it was destroyed sometime after first century AD. The original Hanging garden may have been a well-documented and built by Assyrian king Sennacherib built in the capital city of Nineveh on the River Tigris near the modern city of Mosul.
