
The national park in Bangalore was established in 1971 later a portion of which was classified for biological research with the collaboration of university of Agriculture Sciences, Bangalore. The Park has multiple fun divisions such as a safari park for families with kids, a zoo with a collection of a number of different animals, a place reserved for pet animals, to take care of animals a rescue centre has also been built with trained staff, a snake house, and an aquarium with different species of fishes. There is also an area specified for butterflies who love the beautiful insect. Tourists can go on trekking while their visit to Bannerghatta National Park it also has a number of ancient temples. Its animals which are famous are different kind of lions and tigers and every year tourists specially visit Bannerghatta National Park to have a feeling of closeness with lions and tigers.

The park covers an area of around 104 sq. meters and it too has enriched with a unique flora. Under the forest division of Bangalore it has the title for its 10 forest reservation which lies in Anekal range. It is spread it a total area of 22km.The list of animals in the park is wide some of them are beautiful zebras, Lions, white Tigers, elephants, Bison and bears. The unique combination and collection of flora and fauna and the attractive temple buildings increases the beauty of park. A number of tourists from different countries as well as from different cities of India come here to spend vacations.

It is situated in tropical area so tourists prefer to visit from September to January and they use three types of transportation to visit i.e. by air, train and road. The park remains opens throughout the week except Wednesday.
